Hot weather/Cold weather effects [TB097]
This paper is essential for all. It explains the effect of weather on the products workability and integrity. It also provides helpful tips on practices to observe when tiling/grouting/waterproofing or levelling in temperatures below 10 ĄC and over 35ĄC.

General Substrate Preparation [TB 041]
The key to success when installing ARDEX products is to achieve a good bond between the substrate and the underlayment or topping. Proper preparation of the surface is the most important factor in achieving this bond. This bulletin covers the preparation methods for various substrates.

Tiling over timber floors [TB079]
Adhesives such as ARDEX X56 are capable of tiling directly over timber. There are however, various structural considerations that must be fulfilled including dimensional stability, load deflection, moisture content and the timber itself.

Tiling over underfloor heating systems [TB089]
Where underfloor heating is required, for comfort or climatic reasons, there are a number of systems that can be employed. Whether the tile adhesive is used to screed and fix, or a levelling compound is used prior to fixing tiles, the system must be capable of accommodating associated movement.

Fixing moisture sensitive stone [TB010]
Certain natural stones are sensitive to moisture which results in either discolouration or distortion (warping). This bulletin helps to identify the stones and nominates the system used to fix them.

Installation of large format and heavy tiles [TB001]
When fixing large (exceeds 400 x400mm) or heavy tile (exceeds 4kg) various factors need to be considered. It is not just the tile adhesive ability to hold the tile but also the background’s load capability that will determine when adhesive fixing is not adequate (i.e mechanical fixing is required).

Floor levelling over metal decking [TB 100]
Warehouse renovations, ocean going vessels, off shore oilrigs require high quality floorcoverings over metal decking. Success in such installations is based on a system that is moisture resistant, provides a flat finish and importantly is capable of absorbing movement and vibration associated with such structures. TB100 discusses the requirements for such an application and nominates possible solutions.

Combating moisture issues prior to installing vinyl coverings [TB 006]
Vinyl floorcoverings are most susceptible to moisture. Moisture in new or old concrete slabs is often an unseen condition which requires testing to AS 1884:1985. This bulletin details both the testing procedures and the subsequent installation procedures required to protect the floorcoverings from moisture problems.
